Kirloskar Industries Appoints George Verghese as Managing Director

Kirloskar Industries Limited (KIL) has announced the appointment of George Verghese as Managing Director for a five-year term, commencing on 21 May 2025 and concluding on 20 May 2030, subject to shareholder approval. The decision was approved by the Board of Directors at its meeting held on 20 May 2025.

Atul Kirloskar, Chairman of the Board, stated, “We welcome George Verghese to his new role at Kirloskar Industries. His extensive experience across multiple business functions and leadership roles within the Group will be instrumental in driving the company’s growth and strategic direction.”

Mr Verghese brings over two decades of leadership experience across reputed organisations including Dell, Reliance Communications, and Cummins. His expertise spans business operations, human resources, strategic planning, marketing, and brand management.

He joined the Kirloskar Group in April 2021 as Vice President – Group Human Resources and later served as Chief Human Resources Officer and Chief of Staff at Kirloskar Oil Engines Limited. He played a key role in the company’s successful business transformation initiatives. Mr Verghese holds a master’s degree in management from XLRI Jamshedpur and a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the College of Engineering, Munnar.

Kirloskar Industries Limited, established in 1978, is listed on both the Bombay Stock Exchange and the National Stock Exchange. The company is engaged in wind power generation and has expanded into real estate development through its wholly owned subsidiary, Avante Spaces Limited. It also holds investments in group companies and operates commercial leasing of properties.
