The patent is for the company’s NS Submersible Pumps. The patent for new development is intended to improve pump efficiency and ease of maintenance.
Kirloskar Brothers Limited (KBL), a global leader in fluid management solutions, has been granted a patent for “Arrangements for Reducing the Weight of Pumps,” as part of its ongoing commitment to develop new products and procedures that add value to customers. This patent is relevant to KBL’s NS type of Submersible Pumps and has been offered by the Government of India’s Patent Office.
Submersible pumps of the type NS are utilised in sewage, dewatering, and seepage applications. These pumps’ impellers are non-clog, allowing for the smooth movement of solids and catering to a wide range of applications.
These pumps are lightweight, they will be more efficient, resulting in faster pumping of contaminated effluents, sewage water, and industrial wastewater. Because of the lower weight, the pump’s maintenance and handling would be more user pleasant. Because of the lesser weight, this also lessens the load on the foundation.
