Kinetic Green Energy & Power Solutions has launched its first electric golf cart under a joint venture with Italy’s Tonino Lamborghini, marking a significant step toward expanding its presence in global markets. The venture aims to enter 25 international markets and generate $300 million in revenue over the next five years.

Announced by Sulajja Firodia Motwani, Founder and CEO of Kinetic Green, the Indo-Italian collaboration will see the Indian company handling the manufacturing of golf carts designed by Tonino Lamborghini. The vehicles will be sold worldwide under the Lamborghini brand name.

MS Motwani noted that the global golf cart market—estimated at around $5 billion with an annual volume of 500,000 units—extends far beyond golf courses. “Only about 50% of golf carts are used on golf courses. The rest cater to resorts, airports, gated communities, and corporate campuses,” she explained.

The joint venture plans to expand into five to six new international markets each year, reaching 25 key countries within three years. These markets are expected to account for nearly 75–80% of global demand. Initial rollout will include the Middle East, Bahrain, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and New Zealand, with European operations also in the pipeline.

Exports to the United States—one of the largest golf cart markets—are slated to begin next year. With the U.S. imposing tariffs on Chinese imports, the JV sees an opening to establish itself as a competitive alternative.

Kinetic Green holds a 70% stake in the partnership. Approximately $2–3 million has been invested in engineering and product development, with an additional $2 million set aside for expanding the product line. The venture operates from a newly developed facility in Supa, Maharashtra, which includes a manufacturing unit, an experience center, and a training academy. The initial investment in the venture is estimated at $4–5 million, and the company plans to raise an additional $10 million from Indian family offices to support growth and market expansion.

Kinetic Green, a venture by the Kinetic and Firodia Group, has become a leading force in India’s electric vehicle industry, offering a broad range of EVs including electric three-wheelers for both cargo and passenger needs, as well as newly launched electric two-wheelers under the Kinetic Green brand. The company has also partnered with Tonino Lamborghini of Italy, a renowned luxury brand, to produce electric golf carts and buggies.

Led by Sulajja Firodia Motwani, a third-generation leader of the Firodia family, Kinetic Green has successfully designed, manufactured, and sold over 100,000 electric vehicles, with total sales reaching around ₹1000 Crores. Kinetic Green is committed to providing green mobility solutions to the masses, and has been a pioneer in several areas, including developing the first ARAI-approved electric three-wheelers and introducing Lithium-ion battery technology in electric three-wheelers in India.
