Kinetic Engineering Ltd a part of the Kinetic Group, has inaugurated its state-of-the-art Robotic Chassis Line at its Ahilya Nagar facility, marking a new chapter in advanced manufacturing. The line integrates robotic welding for the Kinetic DX EV, automated clamping fixtures, and a scooter framing cell, ensuring precision, structural strength, and higher productivity. This automation-focused system enhances operational efficiency, improves safety, and minimizes errors.

Alongside the robotic chassis line, the facility has undergone major upgrades to further boost quality and efficiency. The metal body panel line is now equipped with hydraulic and mechanical presses, pneumatic clamping fixtures, and spot welding guns to improve panel fabrication accuracy. The paint shop has been modernized with a 7-tank process, CED coating, and metallic top coating, offering superior corrosion resistance and premium finishes.

The plant also includes a digitized parts store designed for efficient inventory and supply chain management. With individual gauges for each part, robust quality checks, and kit-based sub-assembly supply, the system ensures seamless production flow and reduced downtime. These enhancements create a streamlined and reliable manufacturing ecosystem for the Kinetic DX EV.

Speaking on the development, Ajinkya Firodia, Vice Chairman & Managing Director of Kinetic Engineering Ltd, said: “With the launch of our Robotic Chassis Line, we are redefining how manufacturing should evolve in India. By integrating automation, precision, and sustainability, we are creating a new benchmark for reliability and consistency in automotive production. This step places Indian manufacturing on par with global standards.”

The upgraded facility introduces advanced automation and precision systems to strengthen production efficiency and quality. Robotic welding ensures consistent and repeatable results in chassis assembly, while automated clamping fixtures combined with a dedicated scooter framing cell enhance structural accuracy. The modernized metal panel line, equipped with hydraulic and mechanical presses alongside pneumatic fixtures, further improves reliability and output in panel fabrication.

In addition, the plant features a world-class paint shop with a 7-tank process, CED coating, and metallic top coating that provides superior corrosion resistance and premium finishes. A smart parts store has also been established, integrating individual part gauging, sub-assembly management, and kit-based supply to streamline inventory and optimize workflow across production lines.
