The Kerala government is intensifying efforts to transform Thiruvananthapuram into a global hub for automotive technology, according to State Industries Minister P. Rajeev. The announcement was made during the inauguration of Acsia Technologies’ new global headquarters and research and development center in the state capital.
Minister Rajeev highlighted Kerala’s significant progress in digital literacy and the crucial role played by companies like Acsia Technologies in this achievement. He emphasized the state’s commitment to positioning Thiruvananthapuram as a leading center for automotive technology.
The minister also assured that the state government is focused on equipping young people with the technical skills necessary to seize emerging opportunities in the automotive tech sector. The upcoming global automotive conclave in Thiruvananthapuram, scheduled for November, is expected to play a pivotal role in these efforts.
Acsia Technologies, a key player in automotive software specializing in Digital Cockpits, e-Mobility, and Telematics, has inaugurated its new Global Headquarters and R&D Centre at the Embassy Taurus TechZone in Technopark Phase III, Thiruvananthapuram.
During the event, the minister also introduced Acsia Copilot, a generative AI-based developer assistant named ‘Lila,’ designed to automate routine coding tasks, allowing developers to focus on more complex aspects of software creation.
Jijimon Chandran, Founder and CEO of Acsia Technologies, expressed pride in leading the movement to establish Thiruvananthapuram as a global automotive tech hub. He emphasized the importance of this initiative in creating high-quality jobs and boosting economic growth throughout Kerala.
