KEC International Ltd, a prominent infrastructure solutions provider, announced on November 27 that it has secured turnkey contracts valued at ₹1,704 crore in the Transmission & Distribution (T&D) sector from Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (PGCIL). The scope of work includes the engineering, procurement, and installation of 765 kV transmission lines and GIS substations, further cementing the company’s strong presence in the T&D segment.
In its regulatory filing, the company stated, “KEC International has received significant turnkey orders worth ₹1,704 crore in the T&D business for the design, supply, and installation of 765 kV transmission lines and GIS substations from PGCIL.”
Vimal Kejriwal, Managing Director and CEO of KEC International, expressed optimism, saying, “These PGCIL orders not only reinforce our position in the domestic T&D sector but also contribute to our robust growth trajectory. Our India T&D order book continues to expand, with our total order inflow for the year now surpassing ₹16,300 crore, marking a remarkable growth of over 60% compared to the previous year.”
Earlier in the week, KEC International disclosed securing additional orders worth ₹1,114 crore across its T&D, civil, railways, and cables divisions. The T&D business included a 400 kV transmission project in Oman and the supply of towers, poles, and hardware to clients in the Americas.
In the civil infrastructure segment, KEC bagged contracts for industrial projects within India. The railways division secured an electrification project for metro overhead systems in India, while the cables business received orders for various cable types, both domestically and internationally.
