The Solar & Storage Expo 2024 in Karnataka reached a grand conclusion on August 13, 2024, with a distinguished awards ceremony held at the Radisson Blu Bengaluru Outer Ring Road. This prestigious event celebrated the remarkable achievements and pioneering innovations within Karnataka’s solar and storage sector.
The expo gathered leading industry experts, influential decision-makers, and innovators who have made substantial contributions to advancing the state’s renewable energy landscape. The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the State Leadership Awards Karnataka 2024 and the Sustainability Leadership Awards 2024.
These prestigious accolades, which are the highest honors in Karnataka’s solar and storage industry, were awarded to individuals and organizations that have demonstrated exceptional performance and significant contributions over the past year.
The awards were based on extensive research conducted by the SolarQuarter Research team, which meticulously assessed the technologies, innovations, and services that have made a substantial impact on Karnataka’s renewable energy sector.
A notable moment of the ceremony was the presence of N. Amaranath, the Chief Executive Officer (I/c) of Karnataka Solar Power Development Corporation Ltd and General Manager (Technical) at Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Limited, who graced the event as the esteemed Guest of Honor.
Amaranath, alongside Ajay Shankar, a Distinguished Fellow at TERI – The Energy & Resources Institute, played a pivotal role in honoring the award recipients. The ceremony was filled with enthusiasm and recognized a diverse array of companies and individuals who have significantly advanced Karnataka’s solar and storage industry.
The awards showcased a variety of achievements across multiple categories. The State Market Leader Award for Inverters was presented to SOLIS, while Saatvik Green Energy Private Limited was recognized with the State Market Leader Award for Modules.
FESTON S.E.V. PRIVATE LIMITED earned the Atmanirbhar India State Business Leader Award for Inverters, and Mundra Solar Energy Limited received the State Market Leader Award (in DCR) for Modules. Other notable awards included the Smart Technology Innovation of the Year, which was won by Gautam Solar Private Limited for Modules, SolaX Power Network Technology (Zhejiang) Co., Ltd. for Inverters, and ARKA 360 for Solar Design Software.
Premium Renewables India Pvt. Ltd. was honored with the Smart Innovative Project of the Year, and Novasys Greenergy Pvt. Ltd. was named Emerging Module Manufacturer. iPLON India Pvt. Ltd. received the State Technology Leadership Award, while NeoGreen Power Pvt. Ltd. was acknowledged as the Solar EPC Company of the Year for C&I and for Best Project of the Year – Wind Solar Hybrid.
Cranfinia Energy Pvt. Ltd. was awarded Solar System Integrator of the Year and Best Engineering Team of the Year, while Techser Power Solutions Pvt. Ltd. was recognized as the Leading EPC Partner for Commercial Projects and received the Best Project of the Year – Commercial. WeKraft Solar Solutions Pvt. Ltd. earned the State Channel Partner Award, and Festa Solar Pvt. Ltd. was named State Distributor of the Year.
In individual accolades, Pradeep C A, DGM – Asset Management at Blupine Energy Pvt. Ltd., was honored as Solar Acumen of the Year, and Gopal K., Managing Director of GK TECHNO SYNERGIES PVT. LTD., was celebrated as Visionary of the Year. Ibrahim Kadriinamdar, Regional Sales Manager – India and MENA at Solplanet (AISWEI Technology), was recognized among the Top Net Zero Leaders.
