Jupiter Wagons Reports 8.9% Rise in Q2 Profit

Jupiter Wagons Limited announced an 8.9% increase in its consolidated net profit for the second quarter ending September 2024, reaching Rs 89.36 crore. This is an improvement from the Rs 82.08 crore reported in the same quarter of the previous fiscal year, as detailed in its regulatory filing. The company’s consolidated income grew to Rs 1,018.75 crore, up from Rs 885 crore in the same period last year. As of September 30, 2024, Jupiter Wagons’ order book stands at Rs 6,643.66 crore.

Managing Director Vivek Lohia shared that the company rebranded its subsidiary, Bonatrans India Private Limited, to Jupiter Tatravagonka Rail Wheel Factory Private Limited. He also revealed plans to expand wheelset production capacity with a new facility in Odisha, backed by an investment of Rs 2,500 crore.

In July 2024, Jupiter Wagons raised Rs 800 crore through a Qualified Institutional Placement (QIP), with the funds directed towards establishing a comprehensive wheel and axle manufacturing facility to support long-term growth and integration.
