The JEM TEZ offers a certified range of over 190 kilometers, an 80kW peak motor power, and a 1.05-ton payload capacity. It features a rapid-charging system, providing more than 100 kilometers of range in just an hour using a CCS2 charger. Designed for last-mile logistics and urban freight, the vehicle is priced at ₹10.35 lakh (ex-showroom).

The company also unveiled its manufacturing facility at Pithampur (Indore), which is designed to produce 8,000 to 10,000 vehicles annually. JEM expects to sell 400 units of the Tez in the first year. The vehicle is priced at Rs 10.35 lakh (ex-showroom).

VivekLohia, Managing Director of Jupiter Group, explained that the company had the necessary infrastructure in place, which led to the decision to build a vehicle that would complement and bring synergies to its existing operations. “The goal was always to launch an electric vehicle because sustainability is at the core of our group’s mission, and all our products are designed with sustainability in mind,” he said. Lohia also mentioned that the company has made a total investment of Rs 150 crore in the business, utilizing existing infrastructure to support and expand its operations.

The company is also focused on developing an integrated EV ecosystem through partnerships, which will include charging infrastructure, financing solutions, and after-sales support. These collaborations aim to enhance JEM’s operational capabilities, expand its market presence, and accelerate the transition to sustainable mobility.

The inauguration of the Pithampur facility marks a significant milestone for JEM and India’s future in sustainable mobility. Lohia emphasized that with advanced manufacturing capabilities and cutting-edge technology, the company aims to set new benchmarks in the EV industry while fostering economic growth, infrastructure development, and job creation. With an initial annual capacity of 8,000 to 10,000 eLCVs, JEM is looking at ambitious growth plans, targeting a year-on-year growth of at least 2X, along with expanding its product portfolio to meet evolving market demands.
