Juniper Green Energy Fully Commissions 217 MWp Solar Plant in Maharashtra with Final 71 MWp Addition

Juniper Green Energy has successfully brought its 217 MWp solar project in Chapalgaon, Maharashtra to full capacity with the latest addition of 71 MWp.According to an official release, the final phase was completed nearly 18 months ahead of the planned timeline. The plant supplies electricity to the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited through Juniper Green Ray Two Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary.

The full commissioning includes two phases — the initial 145.99 MWp was completed on May 22, 2025, followed by the final 71 MWp on June 23, 2025. The project reached completion just four months after the Power Purchase Agreement was signed.

“With the Chapalgaon facility now fully online, we’ve demonstrated our capability to deliver large-scale renewable projects ahead of schedule while supporting India’s transition to cleaner power sources,” said Ankush Malik, CEO of Juniper Green Energy.
