On January 27, Jubilant Ingrevia announced the commissioning of its new cGMP-compliant facility in Bharuch, Gujarat, designed to produce nutraceuticals and dietary-active ingredients for human consumption. This facility expands on the company’s existing USFDA-approved plant, which already supplies to markets in the US, Europe, Japan, and beyond. It is equipped to meet the demands of leading customers in the food, nutrition, and cosmetics sectors.
The company highlighted that its new facility will especially benefit customers seeking more sustainable supply chains and higher bio-content in their products. The new plant will produce Niacinamide, which, in addition to its well-known applications in skin and hair care, will allow the company to enter the global infant nutrition market with food-grade Niacin.
Jubilant Ingrevia’s CEO and Managing Director, Deepak Jain, called the opening of the new Niacinamide facility a key milestone, emphasizing the company’s ambition to become a global leader in Vitamin B3 in the coming years.
“The fully integrated value chain in our Nutrition & Health Ingredients business, along with our commitment to green manufacturing, ensures that our international clients seeking high bio-content products will benefit greatly,” Jain said.
The new facility, with a capacity of 5,000 metric tonnes, is part of a completely green supply chain within the nutrition and health ingredients division and is one of the most advanced facilities in the company’s operations.
