JSW Steel recorded consolidated crude steel production of 26.23 lakh tonnes in July 2025, marking a 19% increase over the same month last year. Capacity utilisation at the company’s Indian operations stood at 92.5% for the month.
As the flagship company of the US$23 billion JSW Group, JSW Steel operates with a consolidated crude steel capacity of 35.7 MTPA, including 1.5 MTPA in the United States. Domestic crude steel capacity is 34.2 MTPA, with 1.7 MTPA currently under commissioning. The next phase of expansion is expected to take total capacity to 43.4 MTPA over the next three years. The Vijayanagar plant in Karnataka remains the largest single-location steel manufacturing facility in India, with a capacity of 17.5 MTPA (including 1.7 MTPA under commissioning).

The Vijayanagar plant is notable for being the largest single-location steel-producing facility in India, with a capacity of 17.5 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) .
