JSW MG Motor India and Shell India Partner to Strengthen EV Charging Infrastructure

JSW MG Motor India has joined hands with Shell India to enhance public charging infrastructure for electric vehicles (EVs) across India. Under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), Shell India will install CCS 50kW and 60kW DC fast chargers at multiple locations nationwide. These chargers will be accessible to MG customers through the MyMG App and Shell’s network discovery tool, ensuring convenience and ease of use.

Gaurav Gupta, Chief Growth Officer of JSW MG Motor India, expressed the company’s commitment to improving the EV ownership experience. The partnership with Shell India aims to accelerate EV adoption in India by expanding infrastructure, making fast charging more convenient for long-distance travel.

Shell EV Recharge locations ensure reliable and ultra-fast charging, with high uptime rates. They also offer retail amenities, including fresh food and beverages, enhancing overall customer satisfaction.

Sanjay Varkey, Director of Shell India Markets Private Limited, highlighted Shell’s dedication to providing integrated EV charging solutions focused on convenience, safety, and sustainability. Shell uses 100% certified renewable power for its chargers, ensuring a sustainable and efficient charging experience.

JSW MG Motor India offers a comprehensive 6-way charging ecosystem, including home/office AC fast chargers, a broad network of charging points, plug-and-charge onboard cables, roadside assistance, and community chargers.

The company has rapidly expanded its charger network across residential areas and communities in India, totaling over 15,000 charging touchpoints nationwide. This collaboration marks a significant step towards promoting widespread EV usage in India through digital integration and customer-centric initiatives.
