JSW Energy Finalizes Acquisition of 125 MW Renewable Assets from Hetero Group

JSW Energy announced the completion of its subsidiary JSW Neo Energy’s acquisition of 125 MW renewable energy assets from the Hetero Group for an enterprise value of approximately ₹630 crore. The acquired portfolio consists of wind power projects located in Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra, supported by long-term power purchase agreements.

The assets, housed under three Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) owned by Hetero Labs Ltd and Hetero Drugs Ltd, have a blended tariff of ₹5.22 per kWh and an average remaining plant life of 15 years. With this acquisition, JSW Energy’s total locked-in capacity now stands at 24.7 GW, encompassing a diverse mix of energy sources and offtakers. The transaction value excludes net current assets and other adjustments specified in the Share Purchase Agreements (SPAs).

This deal strengthens JSW Energy’s renewable energy portfolio and reinforces its commitment to expanding its footprint in clean energy.
