Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has deepened its collaboration with Tata Communications to enhance its connected car technology. This expanded partnership integrates Tata Communications’ MOVETM platform into JLR’s next-generation vehicles, delivering seamless connectivity and advanced digital features across more than 120 countries. The initiative underscores JLR’s commitment to offering uninterrupted, personalized driving experiences.

The collaboration centers on JLR’s upcoming medium-sized SUVs, which will be built on the Electric Modular Architecture (EMA) platform and debut in 2026. These vehicles will utilize the MOVETM platform to ensure smooth mobile network transitions, supporting features like media streaming, software over-the-air (SOTA) updates, and secure data exchange. Additionally, the platform will enhance advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and real-time monitoring of vehicle performance, helping reduce maintenance costs and improve diagnostics.

With JLR vehicles already generating 2.5 terabytes of data daily and updating half a million electronic control units monthly, the MOVETM platform will enable global connectivity and AI-driven innovations. Marco Bijvelds, Vice President of Tata Communications MOVETM, emphasized the partnership’s role in JLR’s evolution toward software-defined vehicles and new revenue opportunities.
