JLG Industries, Inc, an Oshkosh Corporation company and a leading manufacturer of mobile elevating work platforms and telehandlers, has introduced the redesigned JLG SkyTrak 10042, 10054 and 12054 telehandlers for the North American market. The launch completes the modernization of the company’s SkyTrak telehandler range, bringing updated technology, improved serviceability and enhanced operator features to demanding construction and industrial applications.
The new machines are designed for construction, infrastructure, industrial and material-handling operations, offering lifting capacities of up to 12,000 pounds and maximum lift heights of 53 feet 2 inches. The telehandlers are built to handle heavy pallets, construction materials, steel structures and large equipment across a wide range of job sites.
John Boehme, Senior Product Manager – Telehandlers at JLG Industries, said the redesigned models were developed using customer feedback while maintaining the durability and reliability for which the SkyTrak brand is known. “The completion of the redesigned SkyTrak lineup is an important milestone for our business. These new models combine advanced technology with practical improvements that enhance productivity, simplify operation and improve serviceability without compromising the performance customers expect from SkyTrak telehandlers,” he said.
Each model is powered by a Tier 4 Final Cummins F3.8 110-horsepower diesel engine paired with a four-speed Powershift transmission featuring SmartShift technology. The system automatically shifts between third and fourth gears to improve operating efficiency and machine performance.
The redesigned telehandlers include an advanced control system with enhanced diagnostics and optional technologies such as Load Stability Indication (LSI) and Seatbelt Engagement and Operator Presence (SEAOP). LSI provides visual guidance to help operators monitor forward load capacity, while SEAOP improves safety through visual and audible alerts and limits selected machine functions when operator engagement requirements are not met.
The operator cab has also been updated with a larger LCD display, simplified load charts and flat-glass windows designed for easier replacement. Productivity has been further enhanced with an electric-over-hydraulic joystick that integrates auxiliary hydraulic functions and attachment tilt controls. Hydraulic connections have also been repositioned to simplify attachment changes.
The telehandlers come standard with JLG ClearSky Smart Fleet, enabling fleet managers to monitor equipment performance, improve machine diagnostics and manage connected fleets remotely. Optional safety features include a multi-view camera system, reverse sensing technology and a white-noise backup alarm to improve job-site awareness.
The redesigned lineup includes the SkyTrak 10042, offering a 10,000-pound lift capacity and 42-foot lift height; the SkyTrak 10054, with a 10,000-pound capacity and 53-foot lift height; and the SkyTrak 12054, which provides a 12,000-pound lift capacity with the same 53-foot maximum lift height. Together, the new models provide greater versatility and performance for lifting, material placement, steel erection and heavy industrial applications across North America.
