JK Tyre & Industries Ltd, one of India’s foremost tyre manufacturers, announced the launch of four new Off-the-Road (OTR) tyres at the 13th edition of CII EXCON 2025, held at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre. The new additions were unveiled by Dr R Mukhopadhyay, Director (R&D), and mark another step in the company’s continued expansion in the construction, mining, and industrial segments.

The company introduced the SKY GRIP tyre, developed for Aerial Work Platforms and boom lifts used across infrastructure, warehousing, and industrial operations. The 355/55D625 SKY GRIP offers enhanced stability, improved traction, and reliable performance at elevated working heights. Suitable for articulated and telescopic boom lifts, telehandlers, and rough-terrain platforms, the tyre is engineered to ensure safer operations across varied surfaces.

JK Tyre also rolled out three additional OTR tyres designed for demanding field conditions. The 14.00-25 GTL PLUS tyre caters to backhoe loaders and has been engineered for superior stability, durability, and dependable performance during repetitive loading and excavation.

The 23.5-25 GTL PLUS variant supports wheel loaders operating on tough construction and mining surfaces and is designed to deliver better traction and endurance. For underground mining applications, the 14.00-20 VEM AS-UG tyre features a reinforced casing and specialised compound that withstands abrasive environments and the rigorous duty cycles of shuttle cars.

Speaking at the launch, Srinivasu Allaphan, Director–Sales & Marketing, said that India’s infrastructure sector is moving through a period of rapid transformation and that the company remains committed to supporting this growth with advanced, application-specific tyre technologies. He emphasised that the newly introduced range reflects JK Tyre’s focus on enabling higher productivity, safety, and operational efficiency across industries.
