JK Cement, a prominent name in India’s cement industry and a leading global manufacturer of white cement, has initiated the construction of its latest Grey Cement Grinding Unit in Buxar, Bihar, with a Bhoomi Pujan ceremony. This development aligns with the company’s strategy to expand its presence in Eastern India and contribute to the region’s infrastructure and economic growth.
The foundation stone was laid by Dr Nidhipati Singhania, Vice Chairman, JK Cement Ltd, along with Madhavkrishna Singhania, Joint Managing Director and CEO, and other senior executives. This project represents a significant step forward in meeting the growing demand for high-quality cement in Bihar.
Dr Raghavpat Singhania, Managing Director of JK Cement, remarked, “This event marks a major milestone for JK Cement in Bihar. We are thrilled to introduce our premium cement products to this dynamic region. The new Grinding Unit will enhance our national footprint and support Bihar’s infrastructure development, aligning with our commitment to quality and innovation.”
The facility, with a planned capacity of 3.00 MTPA, will address the increasing demand for premium cement in the state and reinforce JK Cement’s position in the Eastern market. With this addition, the company aims to surpass a total production capacity of 30 MTPA by the next year, supported by an investment exceeding ₹500 crore.
Commenting on the company’s expansion plans, Madhavkrishna Singhania stated, “The establishment of the Buxar Grinding Unit is a key component of our growth strategy. Together with our operations in Uttar Pradesh, this facility will enhance our ability to meet rising market needs and contribute to the region’s progress.”
