Jitendra EV Tech Pvt. Ltd, a manufacturer of electric two-wheelers, has joined forces with Battery Smart, a prominent battery-swapping network for electric two- and three-wheelers, to integrate its technology into Jitendra EV’s fleet. This collaboration will provide riders access to more than 1,400 battery-swapping stations across 40 cities in India.

The initiative aims to tackle common barriers to electric vehicle adoption, such as range anxiety and long charging times. By enabling users to swap depleted batteries for fully charged ones in under two minutes, the partnership enhances the EV ownership experience and helps improve operational efficiency.

Additionally, Jitendra EV has introduced a model where the battery is sold separately from the vehicle, lowering the initial cost for both fleet operators and individual buyers. This approach is expected to make electric scooters more affordable and promote wider adoption of eco-friendly transportation.

The partnership highlights the shared goal of both companies to make electric mobility more accessible in urban and semi-urban areas. Battery Smart’s subscription-based battery-swapping system provides an affordable and flexible alternative to conventional charging infrastructure.

Founded in 2016 as part of the Shah Group, Jitendra EV is backed by a conglomerate with over 40 years of experience in various sectors. Battery Smart, established in 2019 by Pulkit Khurana and Siddharth Sikka, has quickly become a key player in India’s electric vehicle market, completing over 50 million battery swaps and operating over 1,400 swap stations nationwide.

Battery Smart is an Indian startup revolutionizing the electric mobility sector with its battery-swapping network for electric two- and three-wheelers. Founded in 2020, the company aims to solve the challenges of high upfront costs and long charging times associated with EV adoption by offering a cost-effective and time-efficient battery-as-a-service (BaaS) model.

Its network of swap stations allows EV drivers to exchange depleted batteries for fully charged ones in minutes, enhancing vehicle uptime and operational efficiency. With a rapidly growing presence across multiple cities, Battery Smart is helping accelerate India’s transition to clean transportation while providing scalable energy solutions for urban mobility.
