In an official statement, Jindal India highlighted the strategic expansion: “We are committing a capex spend of over ₹1,500 crore to achieve a 60% increase in capacity, expanding from the current 1 million metric tonnes to 1.6 million tonnes per annum.” The company aims to complete the expansion by the 2025-26 financial year, with production set to start within the current fiscal year.
