Jeh Aerospace, one of the pioneering startups in the aerospace and defence manufacturing domain, officially inaugurated its state-of-the-art manufacturing hub in Hyderabad on Tuesday. The expansive facility, spanning an initial area that can be extended up to 160,000 square feet, is set to contribute in manufacturing solutions for the aerospace and defence industry.
Jeh Aerospace Inc (JAI) provides manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain solutions for the global aerospace and defense industry, serving all tiers from OEMs to tooling manufacturers. Founded by former leaders in Indian aerospace manufacturing, JAI is backed by funding from General Catalyst, a San Francisco-based global venture capital firm.
The inauguration of the new manufacturing hub comes in the wake of Jeh Aerospace recently securing seed funding amounting to $2.75 million. The funding was secured from backers, including General Catalyst and distinguished figures in the aerospace industry such as Dwarakanath Srinivasan, former CEO and Managing Director of Airbus India, and Pratyush Kumar, former President of Boeing India.
Co-founded by Vishal R Sanghavi, former Chief Operating Officer at Tata Boeing Aerospace, and Venkatesh Mudragalla, former senior executive at Tata Sikorsky Aerospace Ltd, Jeh Aerospace will be delivering ready and scalable manufacturing solutions to the aerospace and defence sector. The newly inaugurated manufacturing hub, with its expansive footprint, is strategically positioned to cater to the evolving needs of this dynamic industry.
