This project, driven by Rotary International (Germany & Bangalore), the Swami Vivekananda Sewa Trust (Karnataka), and Vision Himalaya (Ladakh), brings essential dental care to Ladakh’s remote areas, where access to healthcare is limited.
The Dental Clinic on Wheels, crafted by JCBL, is a specialized mobile clinic designed to navigate Ladakh’s challenging terrain. This mobile unit allows dental services to reach isolated communities, highlighting JCBL’s commitment to providing region-specific healthcare solutions.
Built on a Caravan chassis, the mobile clinic is designed with optimal space utilization, featuring a foldable dental chair, wall-mounted fixtures, and seating for medical staff. The unit is equipped for minor operations and essential dental treatments, accommodating one patient at a time with space for 2-3 waiting patients.
Engineered for extended use in remote areas, the clinic can remain operational at a location for up to 3-4 days and includes essentials like a first aid kit, an ambulance siren, and a foldable ladder for ease of access.
