On August 26, 2024, JCB, a global leader in material handling equipment, launched its first-ever diesel-powered Telescopic Boom Platform, the T 65D, in Goa during the Aerial Platform Association of India’s (APAOI) conference. The T 65D is designed to set new benchmarks in reliability, efficiency, comfort, and, above all, safety. This cutting-edge machine is manufactured at JCB’s advanced facility in Jaipur.

Customers no longer need to rely on used imports, as they can now invest in brand-new machines backed by full warranty and JCB’s support network. Our significant investment in the Jaipur facility ensures these machines meet global quality standards.”
The T 65D features a platform height of 65 feet 4 inches and a reach of 56 feet 6 inches, with a maximum load capacity of 450 kilograms. Powered by a JCB diesel engine, the machine comes with two work zones and an 8-foot platform.
Weighing in at 12,500 kilograms, the T 65D includes standard four-wheel drive and enhanced safety features, such as a secondary guarding system and crush hazard protection to ensure operator safety. The machine also offers increased productivity with intuitive controls, an oscillating start angle, and ergonomic joystick design for comfortable, fatigue-free operation.
Shetty added, “As India’s economy continues to grow, so does the demand for equipment like the Telescopic Boom Lift. The T 65D is not only aimed at the expanding domestic market but is also available for export worldwide.”
The T 65D, a testament to JCB’s Make in India initiative, is exported to developed markets and widely used in industries such as construction, cement, oil and gas, as well as at airports and warehouses where height operations are essential. JCB has established a dedicated distribution network for these machines, with 11 specialized dealers across India, supported by trained engineers and parts backup to ensure smooth operation nationwide.
