Indian automotive giant JBM Group has partnered with Singapore-based Keppel Ltd to drive advancements in sustainable energy and infrastructure. The collaboration focuses on developing solutions in electric mobility, EV charging networks, renewable energy, and battery energy storage systems (BESS). Both organizations will also explore opportunities in e-waste management, urban decarbonization, and electrified transport systems.
Keppel brings expertise in clean energy and resource circularity, while JBM Group offers a strong foundation in electric vehicle technology, EV components, and battery innovation. Together, they aim to deliver projects such as electromobility hubs and resource recovery facilities to address critical global challenges. JBM and Keppel plan to conduct feasibility studies on EV charging infrastructure and battery energy storage systems to support decarbonization efforts in industrial and commercial sectors.
Highlighting the partnership, Piyush Goyal stated that the India-Singapore Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (CSP), strengthened during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 2024 visit to Singapore, has set the stage for collaborative efforts in sustainability, digital technology, and advanced manufacturing. This collaboration aligns with India’s energy transition goals and the India Cooling Action Plan, promoting green economic growth.
