JBM Electric Vehicles Pvt Ltd announced on Wednesday that it has entered into an agreement with LeafyBus to supply 200 electric buses over the next two years. Under the terms of the deal, JBM Electric Vehicles will deliver 200 advanced electric intercity buses, designed to provide a comfortable, safe, and environmentally friendly travel experience.
These buses will be deployed on various intercity routes, enhancing connectivity while significantly reducing the carbon emissions associated with long-distance travel. The project will involve the delivery of 150 luxury electric intercity coaches and 50 electric buses tailored for staff transportation and tourist services.
These zero-emission vehicles are engineered to offer passengers a premium travel experience, featuring high-end interiors and state-of-the-art amenities. This agreement supports JBM’s ongoing commitment to decarbonization and sustainable mobility solutions.
According to the company, the deployment of these electric buses is expected to save approximately 4 lakh tons of CO2 emissions and conserve 140 million liters of diesel over their operational lifetime. The buses will be equipped with cutting-edge battery technology that ensures an extended range, fast-charging capabilities, and intelligent fleet management systems to optimize route efficiency and energy consumption. The delivery of these buses is planned to be completed within the next 24 months.
Nishant Arya, Vice Chairman of JBM Group, emphasized that this partnership highlights JBM’s dedication to sustainable development and zero-emission technologies. He pointed out that their electric buses are built to deliver top-notch performance, safety, and reliability, offering a cleaner alternative for intercity travel. Arya also noted that JBM has successfully conducted extensive trials of their buses across various terrains and climates, proving their adaptability to different operational conditions.

JBM electric buses, which were first introduced in 2018, have been a key player in the global green public transportation sector. Under JBM’s “1 billion e-kms promise,” these electric buses have collectively covered 150 million electric kilometers and served 1 billion bus passengers worldwide.
