Jakson Engineers Ltd, a subsidiary of the Jakson Group, has successfully supplied 100 MW of solar photovoltaic (PV) modules to Gujarat Industries Power Co. Ltd (GIPCL) for their 2,375 MW Renewable Energy Park near Khavda, Gujarat. The company delivered approximately 190,000 units of its Helia Plus PERC bifacial solar panels, produced by Jakson Solar Modules and Cells.
Looking ahead, Jakson Solar Modules and Cells plans to invest around INR 2,000 crore ($215.9 million) to build a 2.5 GW solar cell manufacturing facility and increase its solar module production capacity from 1.2 GW to 2 GW.
