Jaguar TCS Racing, the British racing team, has named Google Cloud as its Official Cloud Partner for the 2024/25 season. This partnership will use Google Cloud’s artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud technologies to improve the team’s performance on and off the track. By analyzing real-time data from their Jaguar I-Type 6 race car, the team’s engineers and drivers can make better decisions during races. This gives Jaguar TCS Racing an advantage in the all-electric ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.

On July 21, 2024, Jaguar TCS Racing won the 2024 ABB FIA Formula E Teams’ World Championship. The team finished the season with a record 368 points. This is Jaguar’s first World Championship win since 1991. Jaguar’s drivers Mitch Evans and Nick Cassidy finished second and third in the Drivers’ World Championship. Jaguar also won the new Manufacturer’s Trophy with 455 points.

James Barclay, the Managing Director of JLR Motorsport and Jaguar TCS Racing Team Principal, said, “It’s fantastic to welcome Google Cloud as our Official Cloud Partner for next season. This collaboration is a big step forward for Jaguar TCS Racing as we continue to innovate in electric motorsport. Google Cloud’s AI and cloud technology are unmatched, and we are excited to use their solutions to improve our performance. With just days until the finale of this very competitive season, we look forward to the journey ahead with Google Cloud.”

Tara Brady, President of EMEA at Google Cloud, stated, “We are excited to partner with Jaguar TCS Racing, a team leading the way in electric motorsport innovation. This partnership shows the power of cloud technology and AI in changing industries. It also demonstrates Google Cloud’s commitment to driving innovation in the automotive sector. We are happy to share our expertise to help Jaguar TCS Racing reach new levels of performance and success on and off the track.”
