Iveco Group to Deliver 1,453 Tactical-Logistic Trucks to the Italian Army

Iveco Group defense division, IDV, has secured a contract with the Italian Ministry of Defence’s Direzione Armamenti Terrestri (DAT) to provide 1,453 tactical-logistic trucks. The new vehicles, set for delivery between 2025 and 2038, mark a significant milestone in the modernization of the Italian Army’s tactical-logistic vehicle fleet. The total value of the contract is 755 million euros.

This agreement involves the supply of a range of military logistics platforms based on the latest IDV truck series, equipped with tactical cabins. The vehicles will be produced at the Iveco Group’s Piacenza plant and will come in various configurations, including troop and material transport, water and fuel tankers, container carriers, recovery vehicles, and towing systems, ensuring strong logistical consistency across all platforms.

These next-generation vehicles are designed to offer superior mobility, safety, maneuverability, and reliability.
