ITI Ltd, a state-owned telecom product manufacturer, announced on January 13 that it has secured contracts worth ₹64 crore. These include a ₹35 crore agreement from Sambalpur University in Odisha and a ₹29.14 crore contract from Central Railways in Mumbai.
The Sambalpur University contract involves the installation of campus-wide Wi-Fi and LAN systems across 80 locations, including supply, installation, and commissioning, along with three years of maintenance support. ITI will also provide a secure wireless controller designed to enhance network security and accessibility.
The contract with Central Railways involves setting up an integrated security system featuring IP-based video surveillance at six railway stations in Mumbai, including ChhatrapatiShivajiMaharaj Terminus, Dadar, and Thane. The project, which will be completed in 12 months, includes the installation of over 1,400 cameras and offers five years of maintenance support after the warranty period.
Rajesh Rai, Chairman and Managing Director of ITI, expressed enthusiasm about the company’s role in providing a comprehensive range of ICT solutions for educational institutions, railways, and other clients. “The campus Wi-Fi and LAN services will enhance the learning experience for students and support operational and administrative functions at the institution,” he said.
