In a shocking incident near Bengaluru, approximately 2,000 employees of Wistron Corporation went on damaging the office and assembly properties due to pending salaries. A video of the disturbing incident is posted in the Twitter handle of Times of India, where agitated employees are seen destroying the offices, turning vehicles up and down.

Taiwan-based Wistron corporations run the Apple plant at Bengaluru and are located 60 km away from Bengaluru at Narsapura Industrial Area. From this plant Wistron manufacturers iPhone, Biotech, and other IoT devices. As per the media report, senior police officers were rushed to the spot. Promised salaries to the engineering and non-engineering employees were not paid, and earlier attempts for resolving the matters failed, which resulted in the rampage.

A big blow to the Make In India initiative, this incident can put India vulnerable to the global manufacturing community. For this facility Wistron Corporation gave a proposal to invest ₹2900 Crores and provide employment to around 10000 people. Karnataka Government allocated 43 acres of land for the plant at Narsapura Industrial Area, Kolar District.
