The global thermal process industry will convene at THERMPROCESS China from September 25th to 28th, 2024, showcasing a plethora of technological advancements alongside a range of top-tier side events, coinciding with the premier Düsseldorf trade fairs for wire, cable, tube, and pipes – wire and Tube China. The venue for this convergence of innovation is the Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC).

In 2020, China’s heat treatment industry generated a total output value of around USD 17 billion. Within this, approximately USD 14 billion stemmed from the sale of heat treatment processes, while around USD 3 billion came from the sale of heat treatment equipment and process materials. This latter category included USD 2 billion for equipment and USD 1 billion for materials. Over recent years, both the number of companies and the market size within China’s heat treatment sector have experienced steady growth.

Consequently, there has been an increasing demand for top-tier heat treatment equipment, instruments, and application software. Under the influence of China’s “Dual Carbon” strategy, the industry is actively promoting the advancement of equipment and technical research to focus on energy conservation and eco-friendly manufacturing. Since 2020, this trade fair targeting the Chinese market has been integrated into the “Bright World of Metals,” enhancing the international THERMPROCESS portfolio in Düsseldorf.

The event, organized by Messe Düsseldorf (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. and MC-CCPIT, serves as a comprehensive platform for the global thermal process technology sector to showcase its latest innovations, products, and services. Covering the entire spectrum of thermal process technology, attendees can explore industrial furnaces, heat treatment plants, plant construction, drive and firing technology, power and heat engineering, as well as heating systems, heat pumps, and related accessories.

THERMPROCESS China 2024 has garnered interest from a multitude of international exhibitors who are keen on returning. German companies within the thermal process technology realm are eligible for official funding and enticing special offers from the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK) to support their participation in the trade fair. Those interested can secure their exhibition space at the German Pavilion by registering online through the BMWK at https://registration.german-pavilion.com.

The Shanghai Heat Treatment Association will deliver insights into the latest advancements and methodologies within heat treatment technologies. Distinguished speakers from various sectors of the industry will cover diverse topics, including the utilization of ZEISS light microscopes, presented by Cao Bo from Beijing Precise Instrument Co, Ltd, and the selection of lubricants and quenching agents in the era of environmentally conscious manufacturing, as introduced by Xue Jianming from Nanjing Kerun Lubricants Co., Ltd.

Additionally, lectures will delve into the intricacies of heat treatment applied to automotive components and pipe-casting dies. Set to convene on June 15, 2023, the seminar will take place in Conference Room M10 at the Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC), fostering a platform for industry experts to exchange knowledge and cultivate professional networks.

The latest THERMPROCESS China attracted 332 participating companies from 14 different countries, marking a remarkable 30% increase compared to its inaugural event in 2020. Furthermore, the event drew over 22,000 trade visitors hailing from 53 nations, including a significant contingent from diverse sectors such as automotive, chemical, oil and gas, energy, aviation, aerospace, and other user industries.
