Interarch Building Products announced on Sunday that it has secured two significant orders worth Rs 221 crore from Tata Projects. The first order is for the construction of Tata Semiconductor Assembly & Testing Pvt Ltd’s facility in Jagiroad, Morigaon, Assam, marking a vital step in India’s efforts to expand its semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem under the government’s push for domestic electronics production.
The second project involves building a lithium-ion battery manufacturing facility for Agratas Energy Storage Solutions Pvt Ltd in Sanand, Gujarat. This unit will address the surging demand for energy storage solutions as India transitions to clean energy. This is Interarch’s second lithium-ion battery project, following a similar order from Exide Energy Solutions.
Both projects have Tata Projects Limited as the EPC contractor, according to Interarch’s regulatory filing.
