INOXGFL Group Ventures into Solar Manufacturing

INOXGFL Group announced its entry into solar manufacturing through Inox Solar, a private entity under its promoters. The company plans to establish a 5 GW solar module production capacity and a 2.5 GW solar cell manufacturing facility by 2026, backed by an investment of ₹1,500 crore.

Inox Solar will also deliver turnkey EPC (engineering, procurement, and construction) solutions, including land acquisition and power evacuation, through its group entity, Inox Renewable Solutions Ltd. Additionally, operations and maintenance services post-commissioning will be managed by Inox Green Energy Services, another group company.

The first solar module manufacturing plant, with an initial capacity of 1.2 GW, will be set up in Gujarat and is expected to commence operations by March 2025. The facility will focus on producing advanced TopCon modules, as per the company’s statement.

With this move, INOXGFL Group strengthens its position in the renewable energy sector, completing its presence across the energy transition value chain, including EVs, energy storage, wind energy, and now solar manufacturing. “This venture aligns with our existing expertise, positioning us as a fully integrated player in the energy transition ecosystem,” said Devansh Jain, Executive Director of INOXGFL Group.
