Inox Wind Limited (IWL), a prominent player in India’s wind energy sector, has secured a 51 MW wind turbine order from First Energy Private Limited (FEPL), a Thermax Group company. FEPL is a recognized leader in providing renewable energy solutions within India’s commercial and industrial (C&I) market. This marks the first collaboration between IWL and FEPL, with IWL providing its 3 MW turbines, each featuring a 140-meter hub height and a 145-meter rotor diameter. The turbines will be installed at a project site in Tamil Nadu under FEPL’s Special Purpose Vehicle, First Energy 10 Private Limited.
Additionally, the scope of the order includes limited engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services, such as project supervision, as well as multi-year operations and maintenance (O&M) services post-commissioning. These services will be executed through IWL’s subsidiaries.
Sanjeev Agarwal, CEO of Inox Wind, expressed excitement about the partnership: “We are excited to begin working with First Energy on this 51 MW order. We are confident this will be the first of many projects together. First Energy, a key player in India’s growing C&I renewable energy market, will benefit from our comprehensive wind energy solutions. Inox Wind remains a preferred partner for large renewable energy developers, offering a full range of services that contribute to India’s energy transition.”
