Inox Wind Posts Rs 90 Crore Profit in Q2 on Strong Revenue Growth

Inox Wind Ltd (IWL) reported a net profit of Rs 90.20 crore for the quarter ending September 30, marking a turnaround from a Rs 26.84 crore loss in the same period last year. This improvement was attributed to a significant rise in income.

The company’s total income for the quarter reached Rs 741.74 crore, up from Rs 384.40 crore a year ago, while expenses also increased to Rs 647.93 crore from Rs 412.54 crore. Additionally, Inox Wind’s order book expanded to 3.3 gigawatts (GW), with 1.2 GW in new orders secured during the first half of FY25.

During the quarter, IWL entered a consortium agreement with banks, securing Rs 2,200 crore in facilities, mainly non-fund-based, leveraging the company’s strong balance sheet. IWL’s subsidiary, Resco Global, raised Rs 350 crore in equity capital from key investors, further supporting growth initiatives.

Another subsidiary, Inox Green Energy Services Ltd, posted a profit of Rs 6.06 crore, compared to Rs 5.76 crore in the same quarter last year, with revenues rising to Rs 64.41 crore from Rs 58.21 crore. Inox Green Energy Services remains India’s only publicly listed wind operations and maintenance (O&M) services provider, managing a 3.5 GW portfolio.
