INOX India Ltd (INOXCVA), a global leader in cryogenic technology solutions, has secured a major contract with Highview Power, UK, for their upcoming Liquid Air Energy Storage (LAES) facility in Carrington, Manchester. As part of this agreement, INOXCVA will supply five high-capacity, 690kl vertical vacuum-insulated cryogenic tanks, the largest shop-fabricated tanks of their kind ever produced by the company. This contract signifies INOXCVA’s first entry into the field of liquid air energy storage, marking a new chapter in the company’s growth within the energy storage sector.
This partnership with Highview Power enhances INOXCVA’s standing in the global cryogenic equipment market and aligns with its mission to support clean energy advancements worldwide. Highview Power’s LAES facility, the world’s first commercial-scale installation of its kind, will advance the UK’s energy storage capacity with a storage potential of 300 MWh and an output of 50 MW for six hours. Expected to be operational by late 2026, this facility will play a crucial role in stabilizing the renewable energy supply, offering a dependable solution to support the UK’s power grid.
