INOX India Limited has announced that it has won a significant contract from Island Power Producer Ltd (IPP) to develop a Mini LNG Terminal in The Bahamas. This project involves supplying ten LNG storage tanks, each with a capacity of 1,500m³, along with a regasification system for IPP’s 60 MW combined cycle power plant.

The terminal will be the largest mini-LNG facility built by INOX India, designed to provide shore power to cruise ships at Nassau Cruise Port. With a total LNG storage capacity of 15,000m³, the terminal will feature the world’s largest installation of shop-built, double-walled vacuum-insulated cryogenic tanks.

The project will be completed in two phases, with the first phase – including five tanks and a regasification system – expected to be finished by February 2026. The second phase, which involves five additional tanks, is slated for completion by June 2026.

The facility will accommodate LNG deliveries via smaller ships and provide reloading services in ISO containers for local users. This project marks INOX India’s third mini-LNG terminal, following its recent successful completion of a terminal in Antigua.

Major components for the terminal will be manufactured at INOX India’s Kandla facility. While the value of the contract has not been disclosed, it is described as the largest-ever order for the company’s LNG division.
