Innomotics India Pvt Ltd, a subsidiary of German-based Innomotics GmbH, a global leader in electric motor and drive system technologies, has launched a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program focused on the twin goals of education and sustainability. Built on the principles of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), the initiative aims to uplift economically challenged communities, with a particular emphasis on children’s access to education, health, and long-term care.
At the heart of the education-focused initiatives is the INGenius Scholarship Program, created to identify and support academically talented students from underprivileged backgrounds. This scholarship offers comprehensive support—covering tuition fees, lodging, learning materials, internet access, and other educational necessities—for students with strong performance in their 10th and 12th-grade exams.
In its first year, 12 students have been selected. Beyond financial aid, the program provides internships, soft skills training, and career development resources to prepare these young minds for success in engineering and technology fields. In addition to the scholarship, Innomotics is also working to enhance infrastructure in government schools and provide vocational training, equipping students with practical skills and creating better learning environments.
In the area of social welfare, Innomotics India has partnered with Sangopita – A Shelter for Care, and Desire Society, two NGOs working with children who require lifelong support. Sangopita assists children with physical, mental, and sensory disabilities, including autism, while Desire Society supports children living with HIV/AIDS, aiming to improve their health, education, and emotional well-being.
More than 120 children are currently supported through these programs. Innomotics provides not just financial assistance, but also engages in mentorship, exam preparation, teaching, and organizing educational trips—such as a recent visit to the Nehru Science Planetarium.
Speaking about the initiative, Satish Godbole, Executive Director of Innomotics APAC & ME, emphasized the company’s commitment to creating a meaningful social impact. “Our employees are at the heart of this mission, volunteering their time and energy. These efforts are about more than charity—they are about building connections and fostering a better future.”
Alex Nazareth, CEO of Innomotics India, added, “We aim to give every child the opportunity to rise above their circumstances. Our team is deeply invested in the personal growth and success of each child we support.”
Ankur Jindal, CFO, echoed this sentiment, stating, “Corporate responsibility should go beyond business. These programs remind children that they are seen, valued, and capable of achieving extraordinary things.”
All CSR activities are led by Innomotics India employees, encouraging hands-on engagement and creating a culture of purposeful involvement. The company hopes to inspire young changemakers to participate in shaping their own futures and contributing to broader social development.
