Innodisk, a global provider of industrial-grade flash storage solutions, has announced the release of its new PCIe Gen5 SSD series. This product line is engineered to align with the OCP Data Center NVMe SSD Specification v2.0, addressing the increasing performance and capacity requirements of AI model training, big data analytics, and other data-intensive enterprise applications.

The series supports multiple form factors, including U.2, EDSFF E1.S, E3.S, and the newly introduced E3.L, offering flexible deployment options for various data center configurations. This launch represents a strategic advancement for Innodisk in expanding its presence within the enterprise storage sector.

Equipped with the PCIe Gen5 x4 interface and NVMe 2.0 protocol, the new SSDs significantly improve data throughput and reduce latency, overcoming limitations associated with earlier-generation storage technologies. The drives offer storage capacities of up to 128TB and deliver sustained read and write speeds of up to 14GB/s and 10GB/s, respectively, supporting high-speed data processing demands.

The Innodisk PCIe Gen5 SSD is designed to address the complex requirements of enterprise-scale data centers, including the need for efficient batch processing and out-of-band management. The integration of NVMe-MI support and multi-namespace capability ensures scalability and simplifies device management across large deployments.

The drives are engineered for compatibility with key industry platforms and standards, including VMware, to facilitate smooth integration into virtualized infrastructure and to enhance overall system performance. Security is also a core feature of the series, with Secure Boot functionality enabling firmware authentication to prevent unauthorized code execution.

Innodisk offers extended firmware compatibility and tailored configuration options, allowing enterprise customers to integrate the new SSDs into diverse operational environments. The PCIe Gen5 SSD series will be commercially available beginning in the second quarter of 2025.
