Infosys has launched its open-source Responsible AI Toolkit, a crucial part of the Infosys Topaz Responsible AI Suite. The toolkit is designed to assist enterprises in innovating responsibly by tackling the challenges and risks of ethical AI implementation.

Building on the Infosys AI3S framework (Scan, Shield, and Steer), the Responsible AI Toolkit provides advanced defensive measures, such as specialized AI models and shielding algorithms, to identify and address issues like privacy breaches, security threats, biased results, harmful content, and more.

The toolkit also improves transparency by offering insights into the rationale behind AI-generated outputs, without sacrificing performance or user experience. It is fully customizable and can be easily integrated into both cloud and on-premise environments.

Balakrishna D. R. (Bali), Executive Vice President at Infosys, stated, “As AI becomes integral to business growth, its ethical use is essential. The Infosys Responsible AI Toolkit empowers businesses to stay resilient and trustworthy while navigating the AI revolution. By making it open-source, we are fostering collaboration to solve challenges related to AI bias, opacity, and security.”

Joshua Bamford, Head of Science, Technology, and Innovation at the British High Commission, praised the toolkit, calling it a model for technological excellence and ethical leadership. Sunil Abraham, Public Policy Director at Meta, also highlighted the importance of open-source innovation in AI development, stressing that it ensures safety, diversity, and broader economic opportunities.

Abhishek Singh, Additional Secretary at the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India, emphasized how the toolkit would benefit AI developers and startups, supporting the creation of safe, responsible AI solutions.

Infosys remains committed to ethical AI, having established its Responsible AI Office and being one of the first companies to receive the ISO 42001:2023 certification for AI management systems. The company is also a key player in global AI safety initiatives and industry bodies, continuing to drive responsible AI practices worldwide.
