Infosys, a global leader in digital services and consulting, has announced a strategic collaboration with Polestar, the Swedish electric performance car brand. This partnership aims to develop Polestar’s in-car infotainment systems, software, electrical and electronics engineering, user experience (UX), and cloud-based digital services. Infosys will leverage its recent R&D acquisition, in-tech, to complement these efforts.

As part of this collaboration, Infosys will set up a global technology hub for Polestar at its development center in Bengaluru, India. The hub will focus on electric vehicle (EV) software development and validation across key areas such as infotainment, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), and telematics. It will also support product management, customer engagement, and digital services powered by cloud technology, further enhancing Polestar’s customer experience through cloud-native development, testing, and data engineering.

Maria Lexe, Head of Digital at Polestar, stated, “We are excited to partner with Infosys to create this tech hub in India. Given Infosys’ proven track record with similar projects, we are confident that this initiative will drive IT efficiencies and foster innovation.”

Sven Bauer, Head of Software at Polestar, added, “This marks a new chapter for Polestar as we strengthen our global operations. The tech hub in Bengaluru will play a key role in expanding our automotive expertise and supporting our growing vehicle lineup.”

Jasmeet Singh, Executive Vice President and Global Head of Manufacturing at Infosys, commented, “Our partnership with Polestar represents a significant step in their India Tech Hub initiative. By tapping into India’s strong talent pool in software and automotive engineering, we aim to accelerate Polestar’s digital journey and co-create next-generation EV capabilities.”

Polestar, headquartered in Gothenburg, Sweden, is dedicated to advancing sustainable mobility through cutting-edge design and technology. The brand’s global presence spans 27 markets across North America, Europe, and the Asia Pacific.

Polestar plans to introduce five electric performance vehicles by 2026, including the Polestar 2 fastback, Polestar 3 SUV, and the upcoming Polestar 4, 5, and 6 models. The Polestar 0 project, aimed at producing a climate-neutral car by 2030, reflects the company’s commitment to addressing the climate crisis and pushing the boundaries of automotive innovation.
