Infineon Continues to be a Sustainability Leader as per the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index

Infineon Technologies AG has once again been declared as the Dow Jones Sustainability™ World Index holder, marking the 14th consecutive year of recognition for its commitment to sustainability. The announcement was made by S&P Global last Friday in New York, USA. The Dow Jones Sustainability Index is considered to be an important criteria for sustainability, featuring some of the leading companies from 61 industries. The evaluation is based on companies’ economic, environmental, and social performance, aiming to assist investors in aligning their portfolios with sustainability aspects.

Infineon Technologies AG is a global semiconductor leader in power systems and IoT. Infineon drives decarbonization and digitalization with its products and solutions. The company has around 58,600 employees worldwide and generated revenue of about €16.3 billion in the 2023 fiscal year (ending 30 September). Infineon is listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange (ticker symbol: IFX) and in the USA on the OTCQX International over-the-counter market (ticker symbol: IFNNY).

Infineon is actively working towards its goal of achieving CO2 neutrality by 2030 (Scope 1 and 2). Emissions have already been reduced by 56.8 percent compared to the base year of 2019, even as the business has approximately doubled during the same period. As a leading semiconductor manufacturer for power electronic systems and the Internet of Things (IoT), Infineon plays a significant role in contributing to decarbonization on the path to a net-zero society. The company’s products and solutions contribute to saving 34 times more CO2 emissions during their usage than are generated during their production.
