Infineon Technologies AG (FSE: IFX) (OTCQX: IFNNY), a global semiconductor company specializing in power systems and Internet of Things (IoT) solutions, has announced a strategic technology partnership with Zenergize, an India-based power electronics firm focused on clean energy applications. The announcement was made during the Bharat Electricity Summit 2026 held at Yashobhoomi in New Delhi.

The collaboration reflects Infineon’s continued commitment to supporting India’s transition toward sustainable energy while strengthening local innovation capabilities. With nearly three decades of presence in India and a workforce exceeding 2,500 employees across multiple locations, Infineon combines global expertise with a strong domestic footprint.

As part of the partnership, Infineon will supply advanced wide-bandgap power semiconductor technologies, including silicon carbide (SiC), alongside engineering support for system-level integration. The engagement is centered on product and technology integration and does not constitute a joint venture.

Infineon’s SiC-based solutions offer improved energy efficiency, reduced power losses, and higher power density compared to traditional silicon technologies. These advantages are expected to enhance the performance of solar inverters, enable faster and more reliable electric vehicle charging infrastructure, and improve the efficiency of energy storage systems, particularly under demanding operating conditions common in India.

Jens Reinstaedt, Vice President of Application Management for Industrial and Infrastructure at Infineon Technologies, stated that India represents one of the most significant energy-transition markets globally. He emphasized the company’s ability to deliver comprehensive system solutions across multiple semiconductor materials, enabling partners to develop compact, efficient, and reliable power electronics tailored to local requirements.

Veer Karan Goyal, Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Zenergize, noted that access to globally validated semiconductor technology, combined with local engineering insight, will support the development of products designed specifically for Indian conditions with potential for global deployment.

India’s growing investments in renewable energy, electric mobility, and distributed power systems are driving demand for domestically developed technologies. Government initiatives and expanding infrastructure are accelerating this trend, creating opportunities for innovation in power electronics.

Through this partnership, Infineon aims to contribute to the development of a robust domestic ecosystem while maintaining alignment with international performance standards. The collaboration is positioned to support India’s broader goal of achieving technological self-reliance in critical sectors. Infineon is also showcasing its power solutions at booth 2E21 during the Bharat Electricity Summit 2026, taking place from 19 to 21 March in New Delhi.

Zenergize is an innovative Indian OEM in power electronics, specializing in the development of advanced, AI-enabled hardware solutions for the electric vehicle and renewable energy sectors. With a strong foundation in in-house R&D, the company is dedicated to creating robust, locally manufactured solutions that strengthen and support India’s energy infrastructure.

Infineon Technologies AG is a global leader in semiconductors, particularly in power systems and IoT solutions, driving progress in decarbonization and digitalization. The company employs around 58,060 people worldwide and generated approximately €15 billion in revenue for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2024. Infineon is listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange (IFX) and OTCQX International in the USA (IFNNY).
