Johnnette Technologies Pvt Ltd, an Indian unmanned systems manufacturer headquartered in Noida, has delivered the third batch of its indigenously developed JM-1 Loitering Munitions to the Indian Army under a contract awarded through the Emergency Procurement (EP) route. The completion of the latest delivery marks another step forward in strengthening India’s indigenous defence capabilities and enhancing operational readiness.

With this shipment, Johnnette Technologies has now supplied more than 1,000 drones of different categories to the Indian Army for operational deployment. The company said repeat orders and continued induction of its platforms reflect growing confidence among the Armed Forces in Johnnette’s mission-critical unmanned systems.

The JM-1 Loitering Munition has already demonstrated battlefield effectiveness and was utilised by the Indian Army for precision strike missions during Operation Sindoor. The system’s performance during live operational deployment validated its accuracy, reliability and suitability for modern combat environments, supporting mission outcomes under high-threat conditions.

The company’s platforms also received national visibility during the 77th Republic Day Parade at Kartavya Path, where the JM-1 Loitering Munition and the JF-2 Tactical ISR UAV were displayed alongside contingents of the Indian Army Special Forces, highlighting their frontline relevance and operational induction.

Commenting on the achievement, Lt Cdr John Livingstone (Retd), Founder, Chairman and CEO of Johnnette Technologies, said the company is honoured to support the Indian Army with combat systems that are designed and manufactured in India. He added that the delivery under the Emergency Procurement route reinforces the trust placed in Johnnette by the Armed Forces and strengthens the company’s commitment to Atmanirbhar Bharat. He noted that the platforms are built using more than 80 percent indigenous components and are fully non-Chinese, offering secure and dependable capability for India’s defence requirements.

Johnnette Technologies is among a select group of Indian defence companies to demonstrate unmanned system performance at extreme altitudes of up to 18,000 feet, enabling operations across challenging terrain and high-altitude theatres. The company also supported operational requirements during Operation Sindoor, reflecting its ability to respond quickly in high-tempo conditions.

Founded in 2014 by Lt Cdr John Livingstone (Retd), Johnnette Technologies has developed a strong position in India’s unmanned systems segment, focused on advanced UAVs and loitering munitions for defence applications. The company is also working on long-range strategic combat drones and Medium Altitude Long Endurance (MALE) UCAV development, aimed at further strengthening India’s indigenous aerial combat capability.
