The 2025 editions of electronica India and productronica India, hosted at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), concluded on a high note after three packed days of business, innovation, and international collaboration. With participation from over 6,000 brands across 50+ countries and attendance crossing 50,000 trade professionals, the events reinforced India’s fast-growing influence in the global electronics manufacturing ecosystem.

Organised by Messe Muenchen India, the co-located trade fairs brought together key players from across the electronics value chain—spanning components, design, embedded systems, automation, and quality control. While multinational companies used the platform to deepen their regional footprint, Indian firms—including EMS providers and component manufacturers—showcased next-gen capabilities aimed at expanding global partnerships.

The strong presence of state government officials such as Rahul Sharanappa Sankanur, IAS (KITS), Gunjan Krishna, IAS (Industries and Commerce, Karnataka), and Dr Darez Ahamed, IAS (Guidance Tamil Nadu) reaffirmed state-level commitments to advancing India’s electronics sector. Meanwhile, dedicated country pavilions from Germany, Taiwan, and Japan highlighted the show’s global appeal and growing strategic relevance.

The Buyer-Seller Forum emerged as a core business engine of the event, facilitating structured, high-value meetings between sourcing leaders from automotive, consumer electronics, and industrial automation. Companies like Samsung, Jio Platforms, and Spark Minda explored local supplier partnerships, focused on shortening lead times, localising inventories, and strengthening supply chain resilience. Cricket icon Rohit Sharma, the event’s brand ambassador, drew attention beyond the industry, helping connect India’s electronics story to a broader, tech-curious audience.

Sanjay Kumar, Managing Director, Kyocera Asia Pacific India Pvt Ltd, shared “The scale here in Bengaluru exceeded expectations. The international pavilions gave us access to global component suppliers that would typically require visits to multiple shows.”

Gaurav Mehta, President – Business Development, Kaynes Technology India Ltd, added “We saw deep technical discussions—clients now ask about machine learning and Industry 4.0 integration, not just automation basics. The breadth of interest—from defence to healthcare—was striking.” Gurdeep Singh, GM – Strategic Sourcing, Samsung India “The show proved that India is ready for large-scale component sourcing. We identified promising new suppliers with competitive capabilities.”

Sushil Kumar, GM – Procurement, Jio Platforms “What impressed us most was the blend of established players and young startups. It offered the perfect environment to benchmark and evaluate the evolving supplier landscape.”

Prakash Palanisamy, DGM – Electronics Sourcing, Spark Minda Group “We’ve been to global shows, but Bengaluru stood out. The concentration of international suppliers under one roof made it very efficient and impactful.” Rajoo Goel, Secretary General, ELCINA, remarked “We’re no longer just assembling—we’re designing, engineering, and competing globally. The discussions this year reflected real technical depth.”

Dr Reinhard Pfeiffer, CEO, Messe München GmbH, added “India is now a critical node in the global supply chain—not just for production, but for innovation and strategic resilience.” Bhupinder Singh, President IMEA & CEO, Messe Muenchen India, noted “The trust placed in these platforms highlights their role in powering the next phase of India’s electronics journey, marked by deeper international ties and technology-led growth.”

Starting in 2026, electronica India and productronica India will take place twice annually—in Greater Noida (April) and Bengaluru (September)—creating more frequent access points aligned with regional business rhythms. This strategic change reflects the sector’s accelerating momentum and the increasing demand for year-round engagement.

Founded in 2007, Messe Muenchen India is a leading B2B exhibition organiser in the India, Middle East, and Africa region.
