The Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers’ Association (IMTMA) is set to host a comprehensive training program on Machine Breakdown Analysis from April 24 to 25, 2024, at the IMTMA Technology Centre in Pune. Aimed at reducing downtime and boosting Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), this initiative underscores the importance of precision in the manufacturing process.

Machine breakdowns can lead to significant losses in production and efficiency. IMTMA’s training will empower industry professionals with the knowledge to conduct thorough breakdown analyses. This essential course will delve into various aspects, including understanding chronic versus sporadic failures, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Equipment Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (EFMEA), and utilizing IoT data for predictive maintenance.

Participants can expect key takeaways like:

  • Identifying the underlying causes of machine breakdowns for effective intervention.
  • Developing action plans to prevent recurrence through detailed breakdown analysis.
  • Enhancing equipment reliability, quality control, and safety.
  • Optimizing machine run time, thereby reducing resource consumption.

The program is designed for Maintenance Managers, Manufacturing Engineering Managers, and Utility Managers involved in the end-to-end handling of production equipment. Renowned industry expert Shacheendra Bapat, with over three decades of experience in the automotive manufacturing industry, will conduct the training. His expertise will provide attendees with invaluable insights into automation, maintenance, safety, and productivity.
