The Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers’ Association (IMTMA) is excited to announce a hands-on offline training program on “Selection of Cutting Tools, Parameters, and Programming in Machining Centres.” This in-depth training session is scheduled from December 4 to 8, 2023, at the IMTMA Technology Centre in Bengaluru.
With the growing prominence of CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machining in the manufacturing industry, understanding the nuances of machining centre operations has become indispensable. This program is specially designed to provide participants with the necessary skills to optimize the use of CNC Machining centres, focusing on milling and hole making operations which are vital to all metal cutting operations.
Participants will gain practical experience in production CNC machines, covering aspects like tool and work setup, MDI commands, JOG movements, and program entry and simulation. The program aims to empower participants to select appropriate tools, optimize machining parameters, and understand macro programming.
Key Focus Areas:
- Introduction to milling cutters and tool holders
- Selection of tools for optimal milling
- Comprehensive understanding of programming and operation of machining centres
- Insights into process planning and mechanics of chip formation
Advanced CNC Machining: Master VMC Programming & Operations
This program is ideal for machine shop engineers, technicians, and fresh engineers looking to master VMC programming and operation. A basic understanding of machining operations is a prerequisite. The program will be conducted by Preetham B M, a seasoned professional with over 24 years of industry experience in manufacturing precision components for critical sectors. Mr. Preetham’s extensive background in CNC, CAD/CAM, CMM, and GD&T, combined with his experience in training more than 1500 engineers, makes him an ideal mentor for this program.
