Hyundai Motor Group is demonstrating its global leadership in hydrogen technology at the World Hydrogen Summit 2025 in Rotterdam, Netherlands, held from May 20 to 22. The Group is actively participating in both the exhibition and strategic Roundtable sessions to present its hydrogen initiatives and contribute to shaping the future of the hydrogen economy.

At the Korea Pavilion, organized in partnership with H2KOREA, the Group is presenting its hydrogen value chain under the HTWO brand. The exhibit highlights technological advancements across hydrogen-powered applications, including fuel cells for trucks, buses, trams, and forklifts. A featured diorama of a hydrogen-integrated society showcases power generation systems and transport solutions, aligned with global efforts to decarbonize ports and urban infrastructure, including the Port of Rotterdam’s environmental objectives.

The Pavilion also includes participation from KOTRA and Doosan Fuel Cell, offering a comprehensive view of South Korea’s contributions to global hydrogen innovation. As Co-Chair of the Hydrogen Council, Jaehoon Chang, Vice Chair of Hyundai Motor Group, addressed the Ministerial-CEO Roundtable, which focused on uniting governmental and industrial strategies to scale up hydrogen infrastructure and adoption. He emphasized the importance of standardization and collaborative ecosystems in expanding the hydrogen value chain and supporting the transition to a low-carbon future.

At a high-level roundtable co-hosted by the governments of the Netherlands and Brazil—chairs of the International Hydrogen Trade Forum (IHTF)—in collaboration with UNIDO and the Hydrogen Council, global leaders convened to align on key strategies for advancing the hydrogen economy. The discussions centered on the role of hydrogen in driving industrial growth, energy transition, and international cooperation.

Participants endorsed three strategic priorities to shape the future of global hydrogen trade: implementing national-level financial incentives to accelerate hydrogen development; leveraging hydrogen integration to unlock broader economic and industrial benefits across regions; and expanding sustainable infrastructure and product standards to strengthen international trade networks and supply chains in response to growing global demand.

Hyundai Motor Group reaffirmed its long-term vision to lead the hydrogen transition by leveraging its full capabilities across production, distribution, and end-use applications. The Group continues to build cross-sectoral partnerships to support the creation of a viable global hydrogen ecosystem.
