Hyundai Motor Company has announced plans to collaborate with TVS Motor Company to develop advanced electric mobility solutions aimed at enhancing last-mile connectivity in India. The partnership seeks to introduce cutting-edge electric three-wheelers and micro four-wheelers tailored to the Indian market. Hyundai, leveraging its expertise in design, engineering, and technology, will work alongside TVS, which will focus on manufacturing and marketing the electric vehicles (EVs).
“This collaboration blends Hyundai’s global design and innovation expertise with TVS’s deep understanding of India’s mobility needs. Together, we aim to create locally produced three-wheelers while exploring global opportunities for four-wheelers,” said SangYup Lee, Executive Vice President and Head of Hyundai and Genesis Global Design.
Hyundai showcased concept models of the electric three-wheeler and micro four-wheeler at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, which is being held from January 17 to 22 in Delhi and Greater Noida. Sharad Mishra, President, Group Strategy, TVS Motor Company, highlighted the shared vision driving the potential collaboration. “By combining Hyundai’s global expertise with TVS’s in-depth understanding of mobility, we aim to redefine last-mile connectivity with next-generation micro-mobility solutions,” he said.
Although formal agreements have yet to be signed, both companies are optimistic about the potential impact of the partnership, which aligns with India’s growing emphasis on sustainable and innovative transportation solutions. The initiative reflects a commitment to creating efficient, adaptable, and sustainable vehicles designed to meet the unique challenges of urban transportation in India.
