Hypertherm Associates, a prominent U.S.-based manufacturer of industrial cutting systems and software, has unveiled a significant update to its ProNest® 2025 nesting software, now in version 16.0. This latest release boasts a range of new features and enhancements aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and streamlining workflows for customers.
Among the notable additions to ProNest® 2025 version 16.0 is the enhanced integration with Tekla® PowerFab® Connector. This optional module facilitates seamless data exchange between ProNest and Tekla PowerFab, empowering users with real-time, accurate information. Additionally, updates to the library parts ensure that users have access to the latest revisions, while the new job auto recovery feature safeguards work in progress from potential loss.
One of the standout features of this release is the collision avoidance capability, now included by default in ProNest LT for OMAX waterjet setups. This feature optimizes the cut path in ProNest, eliminating the need for secondary steps in IntelliMAX and enhancing overall efficiency.
Recent enhancements also include improvements to crop line functionality, enabling multiple crop lines per nest and the ability to cut empty plates. Furthermore, the software now includes small entity detection, identifying motions smaller than kerf width to prevent errors and ensure optimal cut quality.
Commenting on the release, Tom Stillwell, product marketing manager for Hypertherm CAD/CAM software products, emphasized the significance of the integration with Tekla PowerFab. “Tekla is a powerhouse in the structural steel industry,” said Stillwell. “Now, with this latest release, customers using both ProNest and Tekla PowerFab will benefit from having the most accurate, real-time data at their fingertips.”
